Kwan Jang Nim Michael Nebgen began training in 1988 in Tang Soo Do under Master Allen Sharpe in Huntsville, Texas.

Kwan Jang Nim Mike continued training and teaching as an assistant under Master Sharpe's supervision until his graduation from Sam Houston State University in 1991. In October 1991, Kwan Jang Nim Mike relocated to Houston and was advised by Master Sharpe to find Kuk Sool Master Jay Lee to continue his training. Upon finding Master Lee, discovered he was not accepting students and was recommended to Master Barry and Choon-Ok Harmon, who had recently relocated to Clear Lake from San Mateo, CA.   Kwan Jang Nim Mike was immediately accepted for training. where he began an accelerated training course. Within a couple of years Kwan Jang Nim Mike was a Black Belt instructor under Master Harmon, teaching and training for many hours each day.


Kwan Jang Nim Kaori Kinoshita Nebgen studied Kuk Sool under Masters Barry and Choon-Ok Harmon since 1987. K wan Jang Nim Kaori is best known for her powerful self-defense demonstrations, beautiful forms, and is the first person, male or female, to win four consecutive Kuk Sool  Grand Championships in 1992, 1993, 1994, & 1995 in addition to dozens of other medals and demonstration honors.

Kwan Jang Nim Mike & Kaori opened Meyerland Martial Art Center in the summer of 1996 and have developed a superb Martial Art training facility for you. With almost 40 years of combined teaching and training experience, they have committed their lives to, not only training, but to bring the values and benefits of Traditional Martial Art Training to our community.  They are both 5th Degree Masters in Kuk Sool .
