When and why do I bow?
Bowing is an important show of respect and is essentially a formal method of salute in Kuk Sool and other Martial Arts. You must always salute the National and State Flag before stepping in and out of the training area. Always salute the head instructor, all black belts, and any partners you work with. If you’re not sure whether or not you should bow, then bow anyway just to be sure. It never hurts to be extra courteous. Using this method of greeting and salutation requires that a person not be afraid to humble oneself. Humility should always precede success and follow skill achievement.
